Introduction | I have worked both as an arts educator (Wesley College, Melbourne and Anglican Church Grammar School, Brisbane); an administrator in State and regional art galleries in Queensland (including five and half years as Assistant Director, Queensland Art Gallery), and as a project director in the development of art galleries and heritage centres in Queensland (Global Arts Link, Ipswich, Artspace Mackay, Ipswich Railway Workshops and Dogwood Crossing@Miles). I have been a member of the following Boards: Queensland Museum, Ipswich Arts Foundation, and Sunshine Coast Events Centre. I was awarded in 2002, the Centenary Medal for, "distinguished service to the arts". I am passionate about Javanese batik from the north coast of Java. I have a strong affinity for all aspects of Indonesian culture and wish to discover more in my ongoing travels. By being tolerant, fair and willing to listen one can make lasting friendships across all cultures and belief systems which in turn changes and enhances your own life significantly.
