Introduction	Updated Oct. 2009: This is my fifth year teaching first grade and I love it. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2004 and just finished my Masters in Elementary Education at Applachian this past summer. I live with my husband, Daniel and my son, Carter. We share our home with our two german shepherds, Roxy and Max, and our cat, Jack. My hobbies are playing with baby Carter, going to ASU football games (Go App), watching my sister play high school varsity basketball (SSHS), cheering my husband on as he coaches JV boys baseball (FTFHS), shopping for new clothes, reading mystery/crime novels (James Patterson & Mary Higgins Clark are my favorite authors), scrapbooking and eating Sunday dinner at my Mem-Maw's with family. I look forward to getting to know more and more about your children as the year goes on. I hope that this site will help you see some of the things we do in the classroom.
