Introduction My name is Rebecca Boudwin. I am a lover of Philadelphia and an art enthusiast. My love for art, particularly murals, became evident during my time at La Salle University. Here I pursued drawing, painting, and sculpting, and graduated with degrees in English and Art History with a concentration in Studio Art. I was also fortunate to be mentored by Philadelphia’s most prolific muralist, David McShane. At his encouragement and with the support of the University, I was a Rhodes Scholar nominee. Although I did not win, the evaluation process taught me about the importance of art in my life. As a result, I began working in fundraising at Malvern Prep School, where I raised money for a creative and performing arts center. Next, I took classes at Fleisher Memorial School and studied photography at UPenn, where my work concentrated on black and white street photography. Currently I am an employee of Saint Joseph’s University where I work in Fundraising and Development; I am also a Writing Studies graduate student. In my free time I enjoy writing, working as a freelance artist, pursuing my love of fashion, and exploring the murals and art of Philadelphia.
