Introduction	I have lived on earth for 84 years and have been married to Mrs. RWP (the lovely Ellie) for 62 of them. We have three magnificent children (two sons, one daughter), two wonderful daughters-in-law, one wonderful son-in-law, six amazing grandchildren, and — miracle of miracles — three great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, playing the piano, driving in the country, sitting by the ocean, watching birds fly, gazing into a roaring fire, holding my wife's hand, and spending time with my family. I do not enjoy doing yard work, walking a dog who definitely is not in the mood, or cleaning up after one who is.
Favorite movies	Field of Dreams, Out Of Africa, Dances With Wolves, They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, Some Like It Hot, Sound Of Music, To Kill A Mockingbird, Fiddler On The Roof, Casablanca, all three Lord Of The Rings movies, Big Fish, Harold and Maude, Raising Arizona, Purple Rose of Cairo, Schindler's List. I might have liked Prince of Tides better if it hadn't had Barbra Streisand and I might have been able to enjoy My Fair Lady if it hadn't had Audrey Hepburn lip-synching to Marni Nixon.
Favorite books	The Bible in some versions but not others, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Pat Conroy, anything by Flannery O'Connor.
