| Introduction | There came a point in my life when I realized the true believer in Jesus Christ, generally speaking, is not free to speak the truth ... in the church building and among believers, and this is when I began to blog. He tells us when we follow Him, we are free in Him, yet, when we assemble together, there seems to be no discipline, no exhortation, no stirring up, no provoking and no spurring each other on with the Word. Church potlucks are great, but Jesus calls His true Church to a life of self-denial, and a turning away from the three things that will choke His Word out of us: the cares of the world, deceitfulness of riches and lusts of other things entering in. (Mark 4:19) I've decided to follow Jesus and not to care or worry whether or not I'm hated or persecuted for it ... because He says that will happen, so I expect it! |
