About me

GenderFemale
LocationTegucigalpa, Honduras
IntroductionI'm a 29 year old, sometimes quirky, all the time fervently trying to follow the Heavenly Father. I hail from a small farm town called Ellettsville in beautiful Indiana. I started coming to Honduras on short term mission trips in 2004 and instantly fell in love with the country and the people. For many years I was feeling like I was supposed to be doing something for God in a Spanish speaking country so in the beginning of 2010 I finally made plans to come down for a 3 month stay to see what would happen. Well, almost 6 months later I was still in Honduras. I moved to Honduras in October of 2011 and have finally surrendered my will and my feeble life plans to whatever God may have in store for me. I am blessed that God is allowing me to be a part of the work He is doing in Honduras. Join me in my adventure as I work with the ministry His Eyes under the direction of the wonderful Colby family.
InterestsI love the Spanish language. I'm a board game junky...but only the games that make me laugh! Like: Things, Mad-Gab, Cranium, Curses, Taboo...I could go on for a while. I like reading, watching old movies, playing with my nieces, being outside when it's not freezing, I loooove being silly and making people laugh, and I love to laugh! Being around my brothers, and well, my whole family always makes me laugh!!!
Favorite moviesBack to the Future trilogy. Karate Kid Trilogoy..yes ONLY the 1st three! White Christmas, Braveheart, It's a Wonderful Life, Ever After, Christmas Story, Napoleon Dynamite, A Walk to Remember, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Music Man, Iron Man.I like funny flicks, and old musicals!
Favorite musicTruthfully I like a little bit of everything.
Favorite booksBible...I know, it sounds cliche or like I'm trying to sound "holier-than-thou", but I have been blessed in the fact that after wasting many years of my life NOT reading my Bible, I discovered that reading it changed my life and I actually desire to read it now! Then I do enjoy reading anything by Karen Kingsbury and John Grisham and books that make you think and stretch you like Radical by David Platt, and anything by Francis Chan.

If there's no I in team, why is there meat?

Uh, I'm not even going to attempt to sound witty or smart by trying to come up with a funny little quip. I don't even know what that question means! I like to eat meat, and I am a good team player...so...there!
