Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

When I enrolled at the U of Idaho my waistline was 30 inches and my chest measured 44 inches. 46 years later my waistline is 44 and I have expanded way too much. So I would like to work on the flexibility aspect for the rest of my life.
