Oakland is beautified by street vendors, taco trucks, murals, the resiliency of the unhoused, the unemployed, the day laborers, the domestic workers, and the downtown office workers who keep the money flowing, feeding and fighting the gentrification. Poetry is made in this way as a vision for the promised paradise and as the paradise now. |
