| Introduction | Continuing in my quest to live all over the earth, we now inhabit an attic in New Jersey. My husband's family ran into some hard times and we moved here to help out. In the process, we have dealt with floods, fires, crazy drivers, squirrels in walls, deer in the garden and heat worse than we had in Tulsa. My husband has changed careers, my daughter is a junior in a college that specializes in ecological degrees and I sew every day. I'm trying to improve my skills as I look for employment that won't send me into chronic depression again, (been there, done that), and that earns me enough money to pay off a huge student loan I have from Oklahoma. Though I have many university degrees, three at the master level, I have not had the career in theatre, costuming or teaching I hoped for. I have had many interesting jobs performing in my travels, but my best full time job has been "mommy" and "wife". I also am on the staff of two cats, brothers, Ringo and George (Paul and John had been adopted before we arrived at the animal shelter.)They are almost ten years of age now and have adapted to living with the in-laws easier than I. It's a work in process, but isn't that what life is, anyway? |
