About me

Introduction	Storytelling about everyday people is what draws me to journalism. A few years ago, I worked on a documentary about Hospice that was produced by John Biewen for American Radio Works. The story traced the history of Hospice through the experience of a woman dying from cancer. I was struck by how courageous and open this woman was in her last days. Compelled to share her story with others, she invited us into her life to document her experience. I will never forget how moving it was to hear the story on the radio. Aside from being drawn to compelling stories, I enjoy watching college basketball and sleeping in. That said, rarely do I get to indulge in these activities as my days and nights are usually dominated by other responsibilities, primarily revolving around my two daughters who are 4 and 2 years old. However, March Madness is coming up!
