Introduction Thomas G. West is the author of In the Mind’s Eye (1991, 1997, 2009 and paperback edition in July 2020), Thinking Like Einstein (2004) and Seeing What Others Cannot See (2017). The second edition of In the Mind’s Eye was released in September 2009 with a new Foreword from Oliver Sacks, MD. The book was selected as one of the “best of the best” for the year by the American Library Association and has been translated into Japanese (1994), Chinese (2004) and Korean (2011). West's second book is about computer graphics and visual thinking. His third book, Seeing What Others Cannot See, focuses on high level creativity and brain diversity -- dealing with dyslexia and Asperger syndrome along with other alternative modes of thinking, learning and working -- having individuals tell their own stories in their own way. West has given talks for scientific, medical, art, design, computer and business groups in the U.S. and overseas, including groups in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Dubai-UAE and 12 European countries.
