Introduction	Department of chemistry started in 1970, offering Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programs in chemistry. In addition to this, Dept. of Chemistry is a recognized research centre affiliated to SPPU which offers research programs viz M. Phil. and Ph.D. in various thrust areas of chemistry. Dept. of Chemistry has highly qualified and brilliant faculty members with research base associated with institutes of national and international repute. Faculty members of the department proved their potentials reflected by the growing list of accolades earned nationally and internationally. Alumni of the department proved their worth & are associated with various prestigious institutes of India holding key positions like IIT’s, IISc’s, TIFR, NCL, Forensics, Universities & in core research teams of various Private Pharmaceutical companies. Our Alumni are distributed across the globe like Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, South Korea, Taiwan, Denmark, South Africa, Saudi Arabia & many more countries.
Interests	Dept. of Chemistry is creating a platform for the students to develop & promote the concept of Entrepreneurship providing them exposure by organizing workshops, seminars & competitions based on success stories of Entrepreneurs and by designing the certificate courses including manufacture of soaps, detergents, phenyl & perfumes. We would like to see our students as job providers instead of job seekers.
