IntroductionAs a chemical engineer currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, I am passionate about exploring the possibilities of using chemical engineering principles in the field of biophysics as well as therapeutics. My current research, under the guidance of Prof. Rahul Roy at the Nanobiophotonics Lab, involves understanding the assembly dynamics of pore-forming toxins on artificial lipid bilayers using single-molecule experiments, as well as elucidating the effect of molecular crowding on the binding, assembly, and fusion dynamics of biologically important moieties with artificial lipid bilayers using similar experiments. Additionally, I am designing and synthesizing biomimicking DNA nanostructures using novel origami for studying membrane-biomolecule dynamics. One of my major research objectives aims to design and assemble novel origami-based vectors for the targeted delivery of RNA. Prior to my doctoral research, I served as an Assistant Manager of Engineering Projects at Biocon Biologics India Ltd. from 2017 to 2020, where I was responsible for the engineering design, procurement, commissioning, and qualification of an API manufacturing facility.
