Introduction | well, what to say? I can be grumpy, amusing, pessimistic, shy, outspoken, cynical, spiritual, caring, loyal, empathetic, bitchy, loving, miserable, stressed, switched-on, thick, vulnerable and emotionally distant. It's pot-luck which combination shows up on any given day. |
Interests | My children, reading, writing, sleeping |
Favorite Movies | 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?' old b/w psychological intrigue. 'Notting Hill'for the humour and romance. 'Sixth Sense' because it's so bloody cleverly done. 'Braveheart' for Mel Gibson of course. 'Beaches' 'cos it always makes me cry... |
Favorite Music | I'm an eighties girl so anything embarrassing like Duran Duran, Wham, Simple Minds, The Smiths. Also love Guns 'n' Roses, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. Robbie Williams is my fave! |
Favorite Books | Anything by John Grisham for his awesome plots. 'Wuthering Heights' for its atmosphere. Anything by: Stephen King (master yarn-spinner); Nelson Demille (for making technical plots accessible); Jodie Piccoult (for fantastic verisimilitude - my sixteen-year-old son just taught me that word!);Paulo Coelho (crafted simplicity); Jill Mansell (pure indulgence on a rainy Sunday afternoon). |
