| Introduction | My name is Marie Schellenberger, and this is my sixth year of teaching at Papillion-La Vista South High School. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a minor in English, as well as a master's degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in language arts. I obtained both degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Student-centered teaching, engaging lessons, and differentiated instruction are all extremely important to me. I am taking advantage of my education to make my English classroom an environment that fosters learning, discussion, perspective, and understanding. Every student is capable of meeting my expectations. My philosophy of belief in every child will ensure that my classroom is a welcoming, encouraging place. I love my job, and since I am passionate about being the best teacher possible, much of my time is devoted to developing innovative lessons and instructional techniques. When I am not reading, grading, or planning, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family, including my fat cat, Lucy. |
