| Introduction | Alan Carter developed his interest in Hypnotherapy as a Surveying Student in the early 70’s and thought that Hypnosis was a hilarious form of entertainment. One of his party tricks was to ‘make a smokers hate smoking’ – against their will. This amusing trick actually proved much more popular with smokers who actually wanted help to kick the habit and clearly demonstrated the usefulness of hypnosis to bring about desirable change. Following a successful career as a Chartered Building Surveyor Alan continued to be intrigued with Hypnosis recognising its enormous potential in a therapeutic environment. He finally decided to follow his passion and commenced formal training as a therapist in 2003. In January 2008 Alan set up a full time hypnotherapy practice to benefit the East Lothian Area from his home at Seton Dean Lodge near Longniddry where clients can benefit from the comfortable relaxed coastal setting. |
