| Introduction | HaRaKa is a project that started in 2006 in Cairo- Egypt, focusing on dance research and methods of supporting, producing, promoting and archiving contemporary dance and body-based practices, which makes it the first program in Egypt with such nature. HaRaKa is not a dance company. It's an independent, non-governmental structure for supporting and developing movement, performance and dance in Egypt and beyond HaRaKa operates through programs of dance training and workshops, film viewings, research publications, lectures…, as well as initiating international networks through residencies, co-productions, online and collaborative projects HaRaKa focuses on Contemporary Dance, yet with an open approach that embraces other movement practices and disciplines Previous Projects of HaRaKa include: - Contemporary Dance Workshops, Physical Dramaturgy Workshops, Basic movement training for Actors, TransDance Festival, DanceNews Publication..
