| Introduction | The Garden Gate Flower Company is run by farm owner Penelope, her daughter, Rebecca and family friend, Marion. The organic cutting garden is set in The Paddock at Trezare Farm, Fowey. We grow flowers suited to Cornwall, from traditional garden favourites to native meadow flowers and their cousins, often reminiscent of Cornwall’s famous Gardens and hedgerows. This also means that we do not use artificial environments in which to grow our flowers and the seasonally changing nature of our bouquets reflects this. We believe the traditional methods and species of flowers we grow are part of all of our heritage. So our organic and seasonally sensitive growing methods not only minimise the impact of cultivating flowers on the environment and health but produce flowers which are positively beautiful and interesting, reflecting the specific character and changing nature of Cornwall’s landscapes, and its enduring appeal. |
