| Introduction | This is part of my experiment in recovery. I am in my mid-40's and all my life I've suffered from various vague and, at times, debilitating symptoms like fatigue, depression, weight gain, brain fog, poor memory, mood swings, and hormonal imbalances. I also have an enlarged thyroid, extreme systemic inflammation, and peripheral neuropathy, none of which can be associated, via lab and blood tests, with any diagnosable or discernible disease. However, I have confirmed through lab and genetic testing that I am gluten intolerant and have multiple food and environmental allergies. I am also a recovering alcoholic and have been sober since December 1989. SO...saying all that to say this, I am, as they say, sick and tired of being sick and tired. |
