Introduction	Swāmi Krishnānanda is a direct disciple of Paramahamsa Hariharānanda, the greatest exponent of the “Original Authentic Kriyā Yoga” techniques taught by Yogirāj Śyāmācharan Lāhirī Mahāśaya. On the master’s birthday in 1969, he received “Kriyābān” initiation from Swāmi Hariharānanda Giri, at that time the “Sādhu Sabhāpati” or President of Karār Ashram, Puri, Odisha. Affectionately called as ‘Satya bābā’ by Paramahamsa-ji, Krishnānanda is very fortunate to have served Paramahamsa Hariharānanda as a personal servant during the early nineties. Gurudev used the time to impart invaluable and priceless instruction pertaining to the practical aspects of fully living both a worldly life and a spiritual one. Following his Gurudev’s instructions he resides in New York City and is the founder of KYMONY — Kriyā Yoga Mission of New York — an incorporated not-for-profit organization. KYMONY has published a booklet titled “KRIYĀ YOGA PRADIPIKĀ or LIGHT ON KRIYĀ YOGA”.
