Introduction | IN THE PICTURES I LIKE TO PAINT IT WOULD NOT BE UNCOMMON TO FIND TARTAN THERMOS FLASKS. IN FACT IN SOME OF MY PAINTINGS THEY MAY EVEN BE COMPULSORY. Most of us are not really that trendy and confident, super rich or deliciously attractive. Almost all of us are just doing the best we can. I want to celebrate that. Of course I am not unique in this very British movement. William Hogarth, LS Lowry and Alfred Wallace were masters of it, and current artists such as Charles Williams carry it on. This is just my small contribution to this genre. I cherish the uniqueness of our dilapidated seaside towns, stumbling light industries and the ‘wearing slippers to the off license’ easy going part of culture. Thank you for stopping by, and please contact me with any queries. |
