Introduction | I was an only child and am the mother of two daughters, Lisa who teaches high school French, runs marathons, and holds monthly soup nights for her friends and neighbors, and Michelle who has been a photographer, chef, community activist, labor organizer and is currently a bricklayer. Paul, my husband of 43 years was a maintenance supervisor for United Airlines, loves autoracing and finally found a 1968 Dodge Charger that he can refurbish and drive. I was the manager of the Popular Services Dept. of the Skokie Public Library ( as opposed to the unpopular services) and love sharing good books with everyone, patrons, friends, fellow staff, etc. I also had a business called Read-a-Likes which sold readalike bookmarks to over 500 libraries in the U.S. and Canada. I was raised in Indiana on a vegetable farm and went to Purdue U. where I met my husband...we are soooo traditional and now soooo retired. We recently purchased a 2nd home in Sun City AZ and will become snowbirds. |
