| Introduction | boreal is the nom-de-plume of gavin immerson, a denizen of the Canadian Shield. Moonlight canoeing often leads to reflections, on a surprising range of things. Whatever else may beguile our fancy, the fragile complex beauty of Nature always draws one back to beginnings. A passing aquaintance with Arts, Science, History, Music and oddly, curious conflations, while not essential, will tend to enhance Yr. enjoyment in these waters.
