She writes science fiction and fantasy and has a passion for utopias and optimistic science fiction — ecofeminism, afrofuturism and solarpunk. She loves to envision better futures and join the exciting conversations happening about our possibilities. Shel has been a hospice volunteer, a Peace Corps volunteer, a communications professional in education and health care, and a journalist. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Goddard College. |
