Introduction	I am a Filipino family man who has lived through several presidents, and had been imprisoned while in college during martial law. Now I realize that "we cannot leave the business of government to politicians alone" nor can we depend on the heroes or martyrs to fight for us. We, as citizens, need to take an active role in government. Only then can true democracy be realized for the benefit of the majority.
