I am an artist who paints a variety of subjests in oils. I enjoy all types of arts and crafts. I am starting to create mosaics, for which I have been saving broken plates, beach glass, my own studio glass beads, tiles etc. to create table tops and yard art for my home. I enjoy "hand work" projects such as embroidery and knitting in the winter months. I have tried all kinds of crafts including papermaking, jewelry, ceramics, weaving, spinning, sewing my clothing, knitting sweaters and scarves, crocheting purses, handmade book making, Russian Egg decoration, braiding rugs, finger crochetting rugs and dying wool with natural dyes, and patchwork quilts. I am researching how to build my own wooden picture frames for my paintings. |
