| Introduction | Hi, hello there! Welcome to my page. I am happy that you found me here. You can call me Mary, which is one of my many nicknames. I was born and raised in General Santos City, Philippines but now living in the Windy City of Chicago with my family. The reason why I wanted to start a blog is because I'm thrilled to introduce you to the uniqueness of Filipino and Mexican cuisines. I am a wife and mother, so I do a lot of cooking for my family. Over the years, I have had lots of practice cooking for my multi‑ethnic family. I cook a variety of cuisines, but I specialize in Filipino, Mexican, and American cuisines. I first learned how to cook from my older brother who is a chef in the Philippines. While growing up I assisted him in the kitchen. I feel very confident about cooking native Pinoy dishes. I also learned how to cook authentic Mexican cuisine by watching my mother‑in‑law. And of course my two children were born in the USA, so I also learned how to cook American food.
