This is a colon : and this is a semi-colon ; - what's a semi-truck?
How cool that I get a grammar related question. Well, since a semi-colon is used to separate two thoughts that can each be a sentence of their own, a semi-truck must separate those wanna be trucklets and 18-wheelers! :)
