| Interests | I love to dance. Walking on the beach, collecting seashells, is something that restores my soul. I enjoy photography, as I have an eye for capturing a well-framed image. I enjoy watching movies that have happy endings, especially those that bring me to the point of belly laughs. I love to laugh! |
| Favorite movies | 'A Knight's Tale', starring Heath Ledger, is one of my all-time favorites, as is 'Pretty Woman', starring Julia Roberts. 'Book Club', made me laugh so hard, and 'My Spy' is another favorite movie of mine. |
| Favorite music | Music has always been extremely important to me! I play my CDs and/or Playlists on my PC to indulge a good mood or shake off a bad one; motivate or calm me; free me up emotionally; resonate with an emotion; help me recall a specific, or a special, memory; or draw me into focused, godly, reverence at times. Some I play to sing along with, or just dance or exercise to. I have very eclectic taste in music, which is well-represented in both my CD and MP3 collections. The song that feels most biographical to me is Savage Garden's 'to the moon and back'. I stopped in my tracks and wept in the middle of my performance on stage (back when I was a nightclub dancer), the first time I ever heard the lyrics of that song, because of hearing someone else, whom I did not even know, EXACTLY wording MY thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, in those lyrics! It was perfectly describing how relationships had affected my soul. It is amazing when something that someone else writes, like that, can touch me so deeply! If ever ONE SONG summed up MY life, THAT song is it! I like a wide range of music genres, including Country, and Middle Eastern music. Country music has become a favorite for me! It feels like more of those songs describe my life and feelings than any other genre. The Eagles are my all-time favorite band, though, for really great lyrics and music! I like to play Gregorian Chants for meditation, and worship with my CD of (authentic Holy Land) Messianic Jewish praise & singing, that someone gave me (although I am not Jewish), and Christian songs like Guy Penrod's 'Revelation Song' and 'EXODUS XV' by Lori Wilke. I like most Christmas music, especially 'Silent Night', which is my most favorite song, of all! |
| Favorite books | I love reading, predominantly nonfiction, which contributes to my goal of lifelong learning. The Bible is central, for me. I also have many cookbooks; health information books, especially ones focused on food as medicine, natural remedies, holistic lifestyle; and Christian books, such as IMAGINE HEAVEN by John Burke, which documents NDE testimonies; art instruction books; reference books, and lots of others, which reflect my various reading interests. |
