Introduction	The Socialist Forum was founded to build the socialist movement in the Rio Grande Valley (south Texas) and to educate our communities about socialism. We welcome socialists of all affiliations and other left-wing activists to get involved. We support the efforts of local social justice groups and participate in demonstrations, in addition to our own meetings/events. What best describes us is a long held motto: For Socialists who are Activists and Activists who are Socialists. We are united by the idea of agreeing to be active in our communities as socialists, who come from different perspectives, but who are committed to a community with social justice and socialist outlook.
