| Introduction | "As an ex-politician, I don’t have to be silent. I still have a lot to say. I can still speak out when I see what needs to be said or done. If fact, I can’t stop it." The habit of speaking out and "sticking your hand up" is irrepressible, and Chris had it long before he became a Councillor at Caboolture in 2000. He served two terms at Caboolture Shire Council and one term at Moreton Bay Regional Council, before unsuccessfully running for Mayor in 2012. He was born and raised in Mackay, Queensland, has lived in Canberra, and spent a year in Mexico City as an exchange student. He now lives in Burpengary with his wife, Sian. Chris has studied at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University, graduating with a Bachlelor of Arts with Honours in Australian History in 1992, and completing a Master of Journalism in 2010. He has worked as a media and communications officer for the Queensland government and the Australian Services Union, and has reviewed music and interviewed rock stars for Rave Magazine. Chris also works as the Online Campaign Manager for the Abbey Medieval Festival. |
