| Interests | Karine Leno Ancellin is a dual national, American and French. She is currently a professor, a freelance writer and translator living in Athens. While living in Brussels prior to Athens she has worked on literature by women of ethnic background, and Muslim women characters in English language fiction post 9/11 for her PhD at the Vrije Universiteit. She has devoted parts of her work to analyzing the wearing of the hijab in recent literature. Karine Ancellin has worked in journalism and was interested in women’s issues, in North and West Africa where she lived for a few years, and in the world. She is now involved in the promotion of Literature. She co-founded a poetry society with Angela Lyras (www.apoetsagora.com). |
