| Introduction | Born in the tropical,beautiful twin-islands of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. My recipes and tips will be mainly influenced by my heritage which, is a combination of West Indian with Spanish influences with an obvious health and modern twist. Healthy eating has become an integral part of my life and my family as well. Currently living in this vibrant, multi-cultural city of Toronto, where the cooler temperatures make it a bit difficult to maintain my inner "island girl" spirit, I've made a concerted effort to prepare dishes, using my Caribbean cooking styles and flavours that always warms of heart. Many of my foundation years were spent studying in the field of Environmental Science and Marine Biology. I believe that my choice area for study was mainly influenced by time spent on my father's estate back in North-Eastern Trinidad where we all frequented on the weekends.I love the country-life! My love for my God is paramount to anything else, because I've always found consolation and peace in His word and in His presence.
