Introduction	I returned to Illinois, US after having lived in Scotland (Glasgow) and Netherlands (Rotterdam, Alblasserdam, Haarlem) in 2003. Sometimes I think the Internet and books are the only thing that valuably keep me sitting; the rest of my sitting is for my job as an analyst. I'd rather be moving; whether it's in a canoe/kayak, motorcycle/bicycle or on my inline skates. I hope to own a Hybrid Escape sometime in the next two years.

Favorite books	My favorite books are the stories that I am writing (three currently) that I hope will be published. Except, I am very frequently too busy or too tired to work on them and may have to become (gasp) much more disciplined. I'm not sure that I can accomplish this in my old age but I'll still try to make the necessary changes.
