| Introduction | I'm a professional editor and writer in the corporate global communications field and have also taught writing and grammar classes at community college. I've been a radio guest on different programs to discuss diverse issues, ranging from the benefits of freelance writers for businesses, to the merits of school choice. This blog is just a place to share my two cents on the things that matter to me: namely what's happening in our country, specifically in matters that shape society and culture. Mostly, it's a good outlet for me to deal with one of my biggest pet peeves: a slanted media that often present only one side of the story, and how often public opinion is shaped by that bias. It's my hope that some of those perceptions can be debunked with a healthy dose of truth and common sense - two things our country could use a lot more of considering the path it's been on lately. At the very least, maybe hearing another viewpoint will give a new perspective to people who've been misled by the mainstream media, and maybe even set them -- and eventually our country -- back on the right track. |
