| Introduction | So I've never been a fan of "describe yourself in 400 words or less"...really how do talkative people do that? It's a logistical impossibility :) I'll try though...I'm the proud wife of Sr Airman Chris Poor Jr and the lucky, though sometimes frazzled, mom of my newly turned two "monster" Mason. Yes, we are a military family. No, we are not that crazy family who has plastered their car in Air Force stickers and their house in flags and stand on soap boxes in the town square and berate all the hippies who complain about their broken Iphones and cold coffee. In fact more often than not, i'm the one talking about cold coffee...joy of children :) We have geared our life around the idea that family comes first, moving will happen, and money (while consistent) isn't alot. This blog is about how to make the most of all of that without losing your mind as a mom. oh...and yes I work. 35+hours a week at my second job, that I love. I work full time at my first as a mom and wife. That's the idea of semi-homemade. Shortcuts to having a full time mom feel without a burnt out mommy...cause let's face it. When Mom's not happy, nobody's happy :) |
| Interests | Baking. period. no ifs, ands, or buts...it's my destressor in life. I'm re-discovering my love of crafting with scissors (toddler safe ones of course ;p)anything shoes...when my hubby isn't with me :D |
| Favorite movies | Not into movies but thanks to my boss and my husband I'm obsessed with The Big Bang Theory. Always a favorite is CSI, CSI:NY, L&O, L&O SVU (my son loves the theme song), GLEE, SMASH, anything history channel or discovery channel (courtesy of my Poppa Hankins). |
| Favorite music | Anything but rap. it annoys me. Contemporary christian plays in my home because it keeps me and my family calm but my son and I like to rock out to some GLEE and anything pop or country in the car. While baking it's all about my record player (courtesy of my husband and MIL) and some old school rock :) |
| Favorite books | Oh goodness...right now...are you my mommy?, peek-a-boo,...oh wait those are Mason's! ummm...let me get back to you on that one. |
