| Introduction | I am a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My main focus is developing statistical genetic methods and applying them to genetic epidemiology - i.e. revealing the genetic and environmental causes and interplay, underlying human behaviours and disease. What I apply that to varies; currently I look at ADHD-traits, economic behaviour (including co-operation and risk-taking) and cardiovascular disease risks (e.g. diet and lipid profiles). I have always had a high level of interest in health, in particular in optimising diet and lifestyle for both weight management and health. This blog just represents my attempt to share, and my thoughts on, some of the dietary / nutrition information I come across. |
