| Introduction | We are both from Northern Arizona. Herman grew up in Cedar Springs, which is a suburb of Dilkon, AZ. Cynthia grew up in Leupp then Dilkon, AZ. We have 3 sons, 1 daughter in law, and 1 Chihuahua. We lived in Ramah, NM for 13 years, where Herman was the pastor of Ramah Navajo Church of the Nazarene until April 2007. In February 2008, we moved to Port Alberni, BC, Canada to minister to the First Nations people. We worked under the leadership of Canada Pacific District Church of the Nazarene for the next 2-1/2 years. At the end of September 2010, we completed our move back to the States and now live in Albuquerque, NM. |
| Interests | Herman loves to fish, watch sports (prefers basketball), and anything involving tools, a chainsaw, the outdoors, and other manly stuff. Cynthia, on the other hand, loves to read, solve logic puzzles and brain games, singing, and generally staying indoors. |
| Favorite movies | Herman does not care for movies ("they're too fake") but Cynthia likes mostly action movies (she is not allowed to watch chick flicks). |
| Favorite music | Music is a big part of our lives so we have a long list of favorite musicians, all Christian artists. Herman prefers Christian rock with a bent towards hard rock. Cynthia prefers worship/gospel/contemporary music which puts most listeners to sleep (or so says her sons). |
