| Introduction | Hi! My name is Jillian! Thank you for reading my blog. Being a Duluth native, I’ve grown up on Lake Superior my entire life, but have limited experience actually being on it, which elevates my excitement level about this research opportunity. I got my biology degree and environmental studies minor at St. Olaf college following by work in the environmental education field at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center, Grant/Nettleton Community School Collaborative, and currently full-time at Great Lakes Aquarium. One of my favorite things to do is share the natural world with children, which is why I am going back to school to earn my teaching degree for a secondary life science licensure. I am also a HUGE animal enthusiast. Whether it be daphnia or lop-eared bunnies, I can’t get enough of them. |
