| Introduction | I'm happily married AND I have three children. Go figure. In 1999, my oldest child was born and while I hadn't planned to leave my marketing job, I couldn't bring myself to return. Not an easy job, parenting has been more defining to me than all other jobs combined. To maintain my sanity, I feed my soul with music, humor, good food, reading and writing, and long hikes through the woods. I surround myself with people that complete me in various ways, and I'm fascinated by the stuff of relationships, and all the emotions that spill out when people try to relate. "My life isn't hard, I just make it look hard". This is a quote I barely remember writing, but it explains why I chose to call my blog, NOTFULLYCOOKEDYET. I am not prone to think that people can't change. In fact, I actively work at redefining myself every day because I know I can always be kinder, more organized, healthier, funnier - you get the idea. Anyway, I have always loved to write and I have strong opinions. Instinctively, I navigate most things with humor. My blog gives me voice to dissect the ordinary with some of my more unconventional ideas. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. |
