IntroductionI’m a college graduate with administrative, grant writing, and nonprofit program development experience. I want to use my skills in proposal writing, editing, and development to support a nonprofit organization while enhancing my skills in fundraising, development, and donor relations. Like a cranberry, which can be both tart and sweet, I am versatile and surprising, and I keep people alert and thinking. I have grown and been cultivated in Massachusetts and hope to be--like the cranberry--a unique contributor to the state's economy. Since receiving a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree with the distinction of summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Boston, I am volunteering and interning with various Jamaica Plain organizations. I intern with the Cooperative Artists Institute where I edit and write proposals for arts-based education reform programs. I volunteer with the JP Historical Society to edit articles for website production. I wrote historical articles for the Eliot School. All of these opportunities have led to a professional interest in the arts in education, education equality in urban settings, the role of the arts in healing communities, and the nonprofit sector.
