| Introduction | Sophie Dawson grew up in Iowa and now lives Illinois with her husband and cat. They live on the family farm which is worked by him, his brother, and one son each. Her 91 year old mother-in-law still lives on the farm. One daughter-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter also bring joy to her life. Two sons were raised with one farming. The other studying at the U of IL. Sophie has been a stay at home mom but that didn’t encompass her entire life. An avid sewer and quilter she was a professional machine quilter and treasurer of International Machine Quilters Association. She’s been on the local hospital board since 2000. She worked for over twelve years creating visual projection and special videos at church. In 2011 God led her to being a writing career. She’s having great fun and fulfillment in bringing God’s truth of how to live a faithful life in her novels. She published the first book of the Cottonwood Series, Healing Love in May 2012. The setting is the fictional town of Cottonwood, Iowa in 1875. Lord’s Love, the 2nd in the series will be released in Sept. 2012. Sophie is working on the third book, Giving Love, and hope’s to have it ready for publication in Nov. 2012. |
