Introduction	I’ve been eating and cooking for as long as I can remember. In the 3rd or 4th grade I was even able to convince my teacher to let me do a cookie “experiment” as my science fair project. I came up with a full blown project, including hypothesis on varied ingredient quantities, creating different weekly recipes for the cookies, having my classmates taste the different results and completing full questionnaires that measured everything from color, to taste, to texture, and personal opinions on how each cookie tasted. The winner was the general consensus as to which cookie tasted best. Getting a 3rd place prize in science “for cooking” hooked me for life. This may have been my first experience using friends as taste testers….but it hasn’t been the last. Today, I cook almost daily for my boyfriend and myself, and love having different groups of friends over for weekly dinners. I still love to bake, but my repertoire has expanded way beyond just cookies. As readers of this blog, welcome to my cast of taste testers. As we say in Spanish, “Buen Provecho”!
