| Introduction | I am a 45 year old male who loves to eat, makes up words to songs and exercises a tad bit more than occaionally. I married my high school sweetheart, Kathleen, in 1989, and she's every bit as sweet, beautiful and fun as the night we first got together in Feb 1983. We have 2 sons, Sean Michael, 18, and Kevin Patrick who is 14 going on 19. They are a nice mixture of Kathleen and myself but have a few too many of my qualities for my liking. We reside in Point Pleasant in a small house on a large lot. Tradeoffs! All of our close relatives live within a 10 minute drive of us and our children have never known a babysitter from outside our immediate family. I tell people I am celebrating my 32nd anniversary of having Type 1 diabetes. If I didn't tell you, you would have never guessed. I basically eat what I want, love my sweets, but balance it off with eating nutritious meals, playing as much hoops as my joints will allow, and taking my 3 shots a day. No one in my family had ever had diabetes and I pray the next generations have the same luck. |
