| Introduction | For many years I have tried my hand at different crafts, from making decorative knots to leather work. I enjoy working with my hands and following a method or pattern that will ultimately create something unique and visually captivating. When I finally decided to try my hand at chainmaille, I found what I think is the perfect creative outlet for me. Every day I seem to discover a new way to join these simple rings to form complex and stunning patterns. Sometimes adding beads and other elements, and sometimes simply enjoying the rings on their own. I like how you can take simple metal rings and weave them into so many different things. I have worked with many sized rings, all are very different to work with and the results are so varied. I really enjoy working with chainmaille. No matter what I am making, the size of the rings or the type of metal, it is really fun to watch a piece take shape. |
