| Introduction | I consider myself a multi-media sculptor because that is the broadest category that encompasses my interests. The scale of some of my previous installations would overwhelm most galleries. Much of my best work has ended up on the stage as a scenic sculptor. I have even built a giant mobile that filled the glass pyramid of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame MuseumSometimes the scale is modest, such as landing a UFO at a school in Toledo. Even my exploits in costuming are often sculptural; turning someone into a giant carrot, or a lobster. I have recently returned to Cleveland OH and am looking forward to setting up a cooperative retail gallery. Over the years,I have tried to escape the arts at least a half dozen times; running in the opposite direction into Welding, electronics, and even engineering. All that accomplished was evermore elaborate sculptural installations. I've done some cool "work for hire" over the years, including Installations, Set designs, and Gala benefits. |
Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
My victory statue would be made of Smoke and Mirrors! It would celebrate Ideation: the ability to take a weightless concept and bring it forth into substance.
