Introduction	I live just next door to the disability community: my two brothers have Fragile X Syndrome and my two teenagers are on the autism spectrum. I love to capture in words the spirit of ordinary, hopeful people. I'm excited about my first book - Tell Them It Was Mozart - poems about autism, coming from Brick Books in fall 2016.
Interests	Reading, writing, and listening to poetry, photography, coffee.

Favorite music	When I'm driving: Brian Doerksen, U2, Bon Jovi, The Lay Awakes, Chicago, Queen, Walle Larsson. Any other time: birdsong and silence.
Favorite books	Poetry: Our Andromeda by Brenda Shaughnessy, Invisible Dogs by Barry Dempster, Slovenly Love by Méira Cook, Eigenheim by Joanne Epp, anything by Don McKay. Nonfiction: Can You Hear Me? Tuning in to the God that Speaks by Brad Jersak, Champagne for the Soul by Mike Mason, Discipleship on the Edge by Darrell Johnson. Fiction I read with my son: C.S. Lewis' Narnia series, Hamish X and the Cheese Pirates by Sean Cullen, The Princess and the Goblins by George MacDonald, anything by Rick Riordan.
