| Introduction | Hi I'm Connie; I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2002 and R.A. in 2005. My family and I have been through so much over the last 10 yrs. Even though I still have chronic pain and a multitude of other medical problems I am finally at a place in my life where I feel the need to share my story. I used to have a full time career as an Environmental Technician, unfortunately when I won the fibro/R.A. lottery I had to choose what to spend my limited energy on, so I choose what was most important, my family, church and friends. I do volunteer a once a week for my church and I am a “neighborhood group leader" for the local chapter of the American Sewing Guild, I find that even though it is sometimes hard to make that commitment it helps me to have something to focus on, that and being a wife and mother pretty much uses up all my energy. I also love to sew, quilt, scrapbook, read and spend time outdoors. |
