The urge to conform is strong in most of us, but is society were entirely made up of conformists, life would be very dull. To be genuinely different and original is a gift to treasure ourselves and others. It's not easy to be out of step, and not all different ideas are good, but through the ages it is non-conformists who have stimulated progress.
