Introduction	Viscount has worked extensively in the fields of education, social development, health and wellness within Canada, United States and China over a period spanning more than 35 years. This work has involved front-line teaching, training, motivational programming and management at all levels of public and private schooling, from the primary to tertiary to corporate sectors. Not long ago, for the substantial part of a year, Viscount had encountered the unsettling spectre, rigors, dangers and vulnerabilities of homelessness, as an intimate part of his life. In two different countries, he has spent time living in daily survival mode while trying to fend off almost complete destitution and serious illness. He coped miserably with everyday life and barely adapted to its challenges through personal trial and error tactics and through the occasional kindness and generosities of a few friends and others whom he had met, while always close to the city streets.
